Lady Gaga | Fame

 Lady Gaga Fame | £31 | link

Fame is the first prefume from superstar Lady Gaga. It's quite the eyechatcher with it's potion like black liquid and it really does smell good. I wasn't expecting to like the scent but the fruity scent is something I enjoy and think many people would.
The "egg" shaped bottle and claw like lid is a nice shoutout to her crazy egg costume thing she wore once but it is more subtle than I thought it would be from Lady Gaga. I expected total craziness when this launched but its just the right amount of Gaga and normal perfume bottle.

I'm not entirely sure why people go a little crazy over the black liquid. While it might be the first black liquid for a perfume it certainly isn't the first colour liquid. Joop Homme is a darker pink/purple and others have tinted liquids. It's not something new but maybe the black just makes it more noticeable for some people.

The dramatic definitions of the scents and notes are totally what I expected from Lady Gaga.  Tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiget Orchidea are just a couple of the notes that make up this scent. Other notes include a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and essences of saffron and honey drops. I really like that the scent is noted on the box, which helps you identify what you are smelling. I haven't seen to many perfumes list the notes on the packaging before.

I would say this has a okay lasting time on the skin. I'm not super impressed but people have picked up on the perfume a few hours (maybe 4 or so) after putting it on. I like to top it up so I take this on the go with me. It's not the most travel friendly bottle but I like my big bucket bag so it doesn't take up to much space. You can always try a travelo if you want something small to take with you.

You can pick it up in various sizes ranging from 30ml - 100ml or in giftsets. 50ml retails for £31 and you can pick it up here.

  1. I was actually put off this because its fr gaga and I assumed it would be really strong and horrible but i got a sample and its lovely! I should never judge a perfume by its celebrity endorser haha

    1. I used to judge perfumes by the celebs but now I work in a shop that sells them I've learnt to separate the two

  3. Thank you for this. I don't usually go with the celeb perfumes but Britney Spears one is quite nice as well.

    1. I like the Britney Spears ones, but hate the bottles so I tend to avoid them.
