B. Pure Micellar Water Review

Micellar Water is the new 'in thing' at the moment. I actually did a post a few days a go about what this 'water' actually is (you can read it here).

This offering from B ( a range exclusive to Superdurg) is just the latest in releases from brands like Bioderma. It's one of the cheapest I've seen, so for that reason I decided to give it a go.
B. Pure Micellar Water
B. Pure Micellar Water, £4.50 in Superdrug stores or online!

It's a 3 in 1 cleanser that is supposedly good for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It claims to be a super water that is quick, effective and super gentle on the skin.

The three main properties are cleansing the face and eyes, toning to restore the pH balance of the skin and refreshing with cucumber extract. I'm not entirely sure it does all these things because it can be hard to detect such subtle claims but it does take my makeup off, and my face is left feeling nice and clean after I use it.
B. Pure Micellar Water
It's great if you want a quick way to take off makeup, but while it says you don't really need to do anything after using this I still feel the need to wash my face. All you need to do with this product is put a little on a cotton pad, and sweep it all over you face. I do that but it just seems a little strange to cleanse at night without physically washing my face. So, I follow this up with my Clean and Clear Pore and Shine Face Wash.

I only have one issue with this product and that is that it can irritate my eyes. It says that it's gentle enough for the eye area but every time I use it to take my eye makeup off it stings so much. I'm not sure if it's my eyes, or something but if you have sensitive eyes this won't works for you.

It is a nice price though and for a simple facial cleanser it works amazingly well. It gets rid of all my makeup and leaves my face feeling nice. It's cruelty free (like the whole B. brand) and is made in the UK

You can get this B. Pure Micellar Water exclusively in Superdrug stores or online for only £4.99

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer

MUA produce amazing cosmetics. I've heard some not so good things about the brand as whole, and the way they present themselves online through social media. For that reason, I wouldn't order online but when I was in Superdurg I saw their new eye primer (along with some other bits) and decided to give it a go.

MUA Pro Base Eye Primer
MUA Pro Base Eye Primer, £2.50 online or in Superdrug stores.

I think this is just a new packaging for an old product. I'm not sure because you can still buy the old packaged product online, but they seem exactly the same. I think it was re-packed to go along with their Pro-Base line and the new white packaging.

I don't like the new packaging. The old black was a lot more sleek than the new white. I think the white looks cheap and it's not something I'm in love with. This is one of the better items with the new packaging because the silver covers up so much of the white but the palettes and things like that just don't impress me at all.

mua rimer brush

As for the primer itself, it works. The product blends to a translucent finish on the skin, and a little goes a long way. It makes the shadows stick that little bit more, makes them a touch more vibrant and ensures they don't crease. It does everything I want from a primer, and it does it well.

I know you can get these sorts of things everywhere from places like Urban Decay, Too Faced and even Rimmel but this is one of the cheapest (other than ELF) and it works just as well as the others I've tried.

You can get the MUA Eye Primer in selected Superdrug stores and online (here) for only £2.50.

B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes | Superdrug Exclusive

B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
B. Quick 4 in 1 Cleansinng Wipes, £3.50 at Superdurg exclusively (link)
I have a confession to make. I commit beauty sins on a daily basis. I sometimes sleep in my makeup, and sometimes I use makeup wipes. Sometimes I read things that make me feel like using a makeup wipe, or leaving some makeup on my face is like kicking a dog or something. I mean, I know it's not the best thing for your skin and I wouldn't suggest using them everyday but they are not that bad. So, please stop making me feel guilty.
Anyway, I'm always on the look out for a good makeup wipe that get most of the makeup off. I don't want them to smudge makeup all over my face, I want them to take it off my face. The B.Quick wipes from the new B. range are amazing in terms of makeup wipes.
These wipes are 4 in 1 that claim to cleanse the make up off the face, tone skin with cucumber extract, hydrate skin with vitamin e and aloe vera extracts and condition/calm the skin with botanical extracts.  Now, I'm not to sure about all this jazz because I'm not sure what all these specific things do, but I know that they leave my skin feeling fresh and they don't make it red or irritated.
B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
B. Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
They say that they remove even waterproof and keep skin from being irritated. They do, and they do it well. These are some of the few wipes that really do take off waterproof makeup without the evil scrubbing that can come with some wipes.
This is a weird thing to comment on but they are really moist (sorry for that word, I know it's usually hated). They stay nice and wet (I hate that word even more). I think it partly because it has a nice amount of solution within the wipe, and the opening isn't those usually horrid stickers that never stick, it's actually as plastic lid that securely shuts!B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
You get 25 wipes which is pretty average, and these (aswell as the rest of the brand) carry the BUAV approved logo meaning they are totally cruelty free. They don't really have a scent expect that skincare scent that most things carry. They smell pretty much identical to the Simple wipes if that gives you any reference.

You can get these Makeup Cleansing Wipes in stores now, or online here at superdrug.com

Amazing Youtubers | Hilarious Edition

I have a slightly warped sense of humor. I suppose some people call it British humor but I love sarcasm, self deprecating laughs and irony. Some people might not find these people hilarious, but I sure as hell do. I hope you might find some more people to subscribe too, or maybe just tell you about the people I like to watch.

Funny youtubers
danisnotonfire, nerimon, crabstickz & emmablackery

Dan Is Not On Fire

 http://youtube.com/danisnotonfire
I'm not even going to put the fact that I'm a Dan fan girl in small text. I am. He's nice to look at, he's hilarious and seems genuine. You just need (yes NEED) to watch to appreciate just how awesome he is.

Nerimon

 http://youtube.com/nerimon
Seriously, one of the funniest guys out their. I don't need to say much more. I'm not sure he's intentionally funny all the time, but I think he's hilarious and his laugh is awesome.
Yes, I think I might be an Alex Day fan girl.

Crabstickz

http://youtube.com/crabstickz
Just watch! That's all I can say. He's an hilarious dude, a great actor and not hard on the eyes. He has a nice mix of videos and deserves a watch.

Emma Blackery

 http://www.youtube.com/emmablackery
Emma is just hilarious. I think here videos are great. I kind of wish my levels of sarcasm reached hers, and I wish I was half as funny. I try, I fail. But Emma doesn't!

Funny youtubers
amazingphil, dailygrace, ninebrassmonkeys, jennamarbles

Amazing Phil

 http://youtube.com/AmazingPhil
Phil sums up British humor in a youtuber. He's just brilliant, and I will always find time to watch his videos.

Daily Grace

 http://www.youtube.com/dailygrace
Grace can be hit and miss with people, but I think she is amazing! She makes videos everyday, so you can have a giggle all the time. She is great at mocking people, and using sarcasm at a level where you have to think about whether she is being sarcastic.

Nine Brass Monkeys

 http://www.youtube.com/ninebrassmonkeys
I'm sure you've all heard of Becoming Youtube. It's a brilliant series and it has the perfect combination of hilarity and seriousness. Benjamin cook is hilarious, and it's great to see some of my favourite youtubers all in one series of videos.

Jenna Marbles

 http://www.youtube.com/jennamarbles
I don't need to say anything about this choice. She's hilarious, and nothing else should be said.

The Oscars 2013: Best Dressed, Worst Dressed and All Things Inbetween

I'll keep this post as short as possible. I'm no fashion expert. I really don't care about trends and all the crap. I like what I like, and I'll wear it if I want to. So, when it comes to reviewing award show fashions I just pick out what I like! These are my opinions alone, and I'm sorry if you don't agree! Perez Hilton doesn't! You win some you lose some I guess. Anyways, on with the fashion review!

I have a few categories that I use, and I'll use them from now on in my reviews like this. The fist being Oh Damn! In here you will find the people who, when you see them, just make you think oh damn!

Oscars Best Dressed: Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried
Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried (Oh Damn Girls!)
Charlize Theron
She is now officially a girl crush of mine. Not many people would be able to pull this dress off but she does. And man, she does it well! I'm not sure about the hair, but I never am with short hair. She keeps everything a little sexy, but still all covered which is always a hard combo to handle for some people.

Amanda Seyfried
Amanda. Oh Amanda. You look GORGEOUS! I saw this on a worst dressed list and wanted to scream. She looks stunning. The colours work with her skin tone, her hair looks lovely. I want her makeup. All of it! The dress is flattering, classy and elegant. If I could look like this, I would in 3 seconds flat!

The next category is something along the lines of "Yeah, you look nice" said with a nodding of the head
Oscars Well Dressed: Adele, Jennifer Aniston and Helen Hunt
Adele, Jennifer Aniston and Helen Hunt (Yeah, you look nice)
Adele
Yay! She's finally wearing something that fits, flatters and looks nice. She's made some questionable fashion choices but this isn't on of them. It's classy and elegant, and just works for her. The hair and makeup might have been seen a few thousand times on here, but she looks so beautiful with it that I don't even care.

Jennifer Aniston
I love this woman, and have since that first episode of Friends. I think she's a beautiful lady, and wears most things well. She might not be brings the sexy 'Rachel' back with the hair, and it might look a little limp but the dress looks fab. It's one of the only dressed with a trail and big puffy skirt that I love. I like the colour and the fit, and doesn't over expose the boobs!

Helen Hunt
She looks nice. I can't say much more than that. The dress is very elegant, the colour is stunning and the fit if beautiful. I love the necklace. It just adds that little something without it being too much. It's not my favourite hair style on her but it works just fine.

Next we have the "Ermm What?" category.
Eve Stewart at the Oscars 2013
Eve Stewart (Ermm What?)
Eve Stewart
To be honest, I'm not even sure what dress she is wearing but I don't think it matters. I just want to know why someone is wearing cat ears to the Oscars. They might be pretty cat ears, but they are still cat ears and she's still at the Oscars. I just can't even....

Next up, I have the "It works for you". I find that some people pull other things better than others. I think the outfits on the next two people might be a bit.. erm... awful but on these people they work and don't look bad.
Helena Bonham Carter
This lady always makes me stop and think. I think it's her personality, or the characters that she plays in films, but she pulls of dresses that should be awful.  This might not be the best thing she's ever worn but she pull it off better than most would. The straps could look better but I like the rest.

Jane Fonda
I don't know how she manages to pull off this bright yellow, fitted and  structured dress but she does and she look great in it! I like the V next design, and I love the way it sits on her. The detail is gorgeous and gives here a beautiful shape, and I just love it on her. I don't think it would work on many other people though.

The next is the "could be better" category. These girls look stunning, but there are just certain aspects of the outfits that I would change so they reach the Oh Damn! category.

Oscars 2013: Jennifer Hudson, Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellweger
Jennifer Hudson, Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellweger (Could Be Better)

Jennifer Hudson
The only thing I would change is the fit around the stomach area. I think it could be a bit more flattering on her, but the colours work and she looks stunning.

Catherine Zeta Jones
I just don't like the bottom. I don't get the whole sheer thing, and think someone as gorgeous as her can do soo much better.   I love the dress until it hits her knee, so maybe I'd chop it off there or keep it all opaque.

Renee Zellweger
Oh honey, I think it might be the fact that you are so skinny. I don't like how low the dress is under the arm and I don't like the way it lays on her figure. I've always preferred Renee in her Bridget Jones stage to be honest, so I little more meat on her wouldn't go a miss and it might make her fill out the dress a little more.

Now we get on to the "Just no" category.

Oscars 2013 Worst Dressed: Salma Hayek, Jennifer Garner, Oliva Munn and Kristen Stewart
Salma Hayek, Jennifer Garner, Oliva Munn and Kristen Stewart
Salma Hayek
She looks amazing for 46, but what is happening with this dress. I don't like the material, and the neckline makes me cringe a little. She can pull off so many things, but this just isn't one of them

Jennifer Garner
I only have one sentence on this dress! What are the little ruffle things on the side? I will leave it there, because without those she would be one of my best dressed!

Olivia Munn
For me this just sits down too low, and I'm not a fan of the bottom either. I just want this to cover much more boobage than it does, and I think the bottom could have be better by keeping it slimmer. The extra puff around the hips and waist isn't a hit for me either.

Kristen Stewart
She is always a hit and miss for me when it comes to fashion. I think she is stunning and she sort of an idol of mine but this dress is horrid. I'm sorry but it is. The colour is too pale for her in my opinion, and the bottom is just a bit of a mess. I want it to sit higher too. I have reveiwed some of her fashion choices before if you fancy a peek (link).

The last official category in my weird little head is "Oh honey! why?". This is my worst dressed of the Oscars 2013.

Oscars 2013 Worst Dressed
Melissa McCartney, Sally Field and Rachel Mwanza
Melissa McCartne
I don't even know where to begin with this to best honest. It just doesn't look good. Melissa is always a bit of a miss when it comes to fashion. She doesn't make the greatest fashion choices, and this just emphasises all the wrong areas.

Sally Field
This is just too much for me. With the different textures and different varieties of sheer fabric makes my little head hurt. It's not as bad a some, but it's not good. Sorry!

Rachel Mwanza
I have a "what are you thinking?" moment with this dress. I don't get it, at ALL! It's big and puffy, the pattern isn't great and it's all different lengths. It's not Oscars worthy, and it's not doing anything for me at all.

To end this post, lets all give KStew an aww for the crutches she was on. Poor girl can't catch a break at the Oscars. First she coughs while giving out an award, and now she's hopping down the red carpet.
