Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream in Very Light | A Brutal Yet Honest Review

Clinique  Moisture Surge CC Cream, £28 link
When I'm looking for a new foundation, for some reason I always find myself at the Clinique counter. The claims of the products being allergy tested, fragrance free and having a range for just about any skin type always draws me in, even if there is nothing new to be seen.

I'm not entirely sure why the brand keeps drawing my in, because from what I have tried I've only really fallen in love with two things. I adore the Moisture Surge and Moisture Surge Intense gel-creams they offer. They are amazing for my dry skin, oil free so that little patchy of oily skin on my nose doesn't freak out and they really are fragrance free.

The other products I've tried have left me want more. The dramatically different lotion broke me out like nothing has ever done before. The Even Better Makeup left my skin a greasy mess and left me powdering my skin every hour. The Super Balanced foundation sat in my pores and lasted all of 3 hours on my skin. Overall, I haven't been that impressed, but I still keep going back and I have no idea why.

When I was browsing the counter last time, the CC Cream trend had just hit and Clinique had launched their Moisture Surge CC Cream. The lady sold it to me incredibly well, and when I tested it the colour and texture seemed brilliant. I snapped it up right away thinking that even if I didn't wear this alone it would suffice under powder for a coverage boost or it would work like my Maybelline BB Cream and be a great primer.

Sadly, it's none of those things. This product was just £28 of disappointment. Unless you are in indoor lighting or brilliant sunshine the colour, at least on me, has a strong ashy tone to it. The product doesn't blend into the skin, but rather sits on top making you look, quite frankly, scary. It sinks into pores, giving the skin a noticeably uneven finish and it stays tacky.

I've tried this in just about any way I can imagine and it just doesn't work for me. If I set it with powder, somehow to stickiness still managed to break through the powder leaving my face feel disgusting.

I tried putting it on with just about every brush, sponge and applicator possible, and it still didn't sink into the skin, give any hydration or blend evenly. The best I ever got out of this was when using my fingers,  but even then I hated how it felt on my skin.

I couldn't use this as a "tinted" primer because of the way it sits on my skin. If I put anything else on top of this, it just looks like a cakey mess. It doesn't give the makeup a smooth base to sit on, nor does it hold the makeup in place.

It did offer some coverage, if you can handle the feel and look of the product. It does 'colour correct', well as much as I can tell. I don't have dark circles (thank god!) and I don't really have anything else other than redness to correct on my face.  It does cover the redness, but most things do because it just takes a light layer of something to even out my skin.

I always try and find at least one good things about a product, to justify the money spent just a teeny-tiny bit. With this CC cream, it does offer you sun protection. The SPF30 helps shield the skin from the sun, and according to Boots its a broad spectrum sun protection, meaning in protects from both UVA and UVB rays, rather than just the UVB rays.

So, overall I wouldn't recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream, as you can probably imagine. I have dry skin with the only real trouble coming from redness of the skin. This sounded perfect for me, but it just didn't work.

Products I Regret Buying : Hair Dye, Lipgloss and More

Is it wrong that I love writing posts about products I regret buying or disappointing products? I really do love it because it's all well and good sharing products that you love and adore, but I think it's important to share things that don't work for you. I'd like to be warned if I was thinking of buying something that was crap. So, without further or do, I leave you with my list of crap products.

L'Oreal Mousse Absolue (Shade 425)

This seems like a brilliant concept to me! I need about 1 and half dyes to go all over my hair, root to tip meaning half of one dye gets wasted every time I dye my hair. With this being reusable (even if was more expensive than some) I thought it would work out being better value for me.

It would have been better value, had this worked. It barely took to my hair, only really showing up in the mid lengths. My roots looked completely untouched, and overall my hair looked quite patchy.

My hair takes colour really well, but with this it just looked awful! I won't be wasting another £10.99 on this, and I would rather just have a little left over with hair dyes that actually work.

And this fades worse than even semi-permanent dyes. I used to use the casting creme gloss and it latest nicely in my hair. This has faded about 5 shades in just three washes.

Charles Worthington Hair Healer Leave In Conditioner

I normally get along with any leave in conditioners. I mean there are ones that are a million times better than others, but they all at least so something for me. This does nothing other than make my hair feel slightly crispy. Unlike many leave in conditioners, this is a gel texture rather than a cream. Even on wet hair, I found that it sat on top of the hair like a gel rather than sinking in a nourishing the hair like a conditioner should. It's not going to break the bank, but for the price I did expect more and from now on I'll stick to my Tresemee treatments from now on.

Mellor and Russell Nourishing Hair Oil

I picked this up in poundland, thinking that even if it's not brilliant to oil will be great for helping tame some of my dry frizz but this cannot even do that. I've used this on both dry and wet hair, and it was terrible in both situations. On wet hair, it felt like I'd just added water on my hair. It didn't help condition my hair in any shape or form. On dry hair, it gave it the weirdest texture EVER. My hair has never felt like this, and it then created a very strange sound because of the texture. Not even worth £1.

FashionistA Ready To Wear Brush on Concealer

I brought this when I was in desperate need of a concealer on the way to uni. I'd done my makeup really poorly, I had blemishes gracing my chin and they were big enough to see from space. I grabbed this thinking I could pop it under my eyes (it had been a late night) and I could blend it over the blemishes to cover them a little. This didn't help with either.

Under my eyes, it was to heavy in texture. It creased slightly, and even with the heavy texture it didn't really cover anything all that well. It did slightly cover the darkness, but I get better coverage from everything else I've tried.

On my blemishes, it did nothing. It covered not redness and blended to nothing. I could feel it on my skin, but it didn't cover anything. It was uncomfortable to wear, and I just wouldn't use this again.

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation (120)

I grabbed this from a blog sale, and was told it was the closest shade to the NC20 range at MAC. It's so far from that, it's just not. It's very orange in colour and I just cannot see that suiting many skin tones.

I also hate the texture. On me, no matter what base I put on, it was thick and cakey. It didn't blend well, it went patchy and I won't even leave the house in it.

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream  (Extra Light)

I wanted to love this. I was on the look out for a summer foundation product, and after finishing my Even Better from Clinique I grabbed this. I stupidly just brought it right off the bat without trying a sample of anything like that.

I should have tried a sample first because even thought it felt and looked nice when I tested it on my hand in the store, when I use this on my face it's awful. It sits on top of the skin rather than blending into it. I can that I've got makeup on from a mile away, and it just leaves a really sticky texture on my skin.

I tried tweeting Clinique to ask for tips on how to use this, but I've had no answer so I've given up. I've written this off as a lost cause, and have gone off in search of my summer makeup love.

Nivea Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser

I grabbed this for the huge expense of 20p in Superdrug one time. I was new to makeup, and really wanted to find a great base product. I thought this would be great for everyday wear because I've loved nivea for quite some time and the tint was just what I was after.

The shade is meant to be universal but I really don't think it is. It is very dark and I don't think it would suit many people. If there was a shade range, or if this was just a few shades lighter I would have loved it. It offered a nice coverage for a tinted moisturizer, but I just cannot pull this off.

Wet n Wild Xplode Gloss (E84803)

I picked this up for the huge price of 85p on cosmetics fairy. I was putting in an order and thought that I would try out the lip gloss. I picked a lighter shade, hoping that it would be the most universal.

The shade is just not good. It's really light, and very metallic. Even in the centre of the lips or all over, it looks awful. It's very unflattering, and I can't see this suiting anyone of any skin tone.

The one upside to this is that is smells amazing. You literally want to eat it.

ELF Mineral Lip Gloss (Wild)

I would love this is I could get any of the darn product out. I love the colour, and I love the texture of the gloss once I've finally got some product out.

It takes me putting the brush into the pot about 10 times to get enough product to cover the lips.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss (Copper)

I snapped this up in a three peice set in Superdrug when it was on cleanser. I think I paid less than a fiver for the three, and I fell in love with two shades. the pink is great for using in the centre of the lips to make them look fuller. The clear gloss is great for all over but the copper shade is just really unflattering.

It's insanely metallic for one thing, and the orange tone just doesn't suit me. It was very unflattering on the lips, alone or over colours and I just cannot use it.

Skincare Routine | Night

So, if you haven't already seen my day/morning skincare routine you can see it here. It's a bit of a long post but it tells about all the pesky skin problems that I'm trying to combat with my routine. I have a slightly different routine at night than I do during the day so I thought I would share that with you today!

Night Time Skincare Routine
Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser link, Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub link, Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner link, Good Things Stop That Spot Treatment Gel link, Purity Overnight Regenerating Moisturizer* link, Lancome Bi-Facil link, Clinique All About Eyes link & Blistex Relief Cream

A few of these products are interchangeable with other products, but the idea is all the same.

The first thing that I do is take of my eye makeup, and any other stubborn makeup I may have on my face like lip stains of anything like that. I find that an oil based makeup remover works better for this and at the moment I'm using up a small Lancome Bi-Facil that I got free when I brought a mascara. It's a really good makeup remover and you only need a small amount, once you've shaken it up, to remove both eyes. I just put a little on a cotton pad, rest it over my eyes for a few seconds and the wipe away.

After I have got that off, I will was my face with one of my scurbs. I find using these at night works best for me so I alternate between two scrubs. The Biore Warming Cleanseris a brilliant scrub but I find it to abrasive to use every day so I use this twice a week, and all the the other times I will use the Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub.

The Biore Warming Cleanser is meant to warm on contact with the skin, which is does, and help clear away those pesky blackheads and clean out your pores. I think it's a brilliant scrub and really helps keep my problem blackheads at bay.

The Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub is a great every day scrub. It is just abrasive enough that I feel it's doing something but not to abrasive that I can't use it everyday. It gives my skin a good clean and gets all that gross dirt and grit out of it.

After washing off the scrub, I'll put some of the Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner on a cotton pad, and run it all over my face. This gets off any dirt that might be left and also tones my skin. I don't really love this cleanser/toner, but it's working for the moment and I will use it up. It's great for an affordable option, but the peppermint smell isn't something I'm a fan of putting of my face and it tends to make my eyes start watering if I get anywhere even close to them.

After my face is totally clean, I will put on my night time moisturizer which is the Purity Overnight Regenerating Moisturizer. This this is amazing. It's super thick so it's quite intense, but it doesn't make any oily patches worse, and it helps out those gross dry areas. It's all natural which is great, and the stuff seems to be lasting for forever. You don't need too much considering it's so thick and it's cheap too which is a huge bonus.

Next, I put on my eye cream which is exactly the same as my day/morning one. I layer it on a little thicker now just to give more moisture but as I said before I'm not sure it's a miracle worker and I just use it because I have it.

After than I put on a nice thick later of the Blistex Relief Cream. This really gives my lips a boost, and helps them for being all dry and gross. If I have a lip scrub at the time I will give them a scrub before putting this on to get away that dead skin.

If I have any spots, I'll put on a bad of the Good Things Stop That Spot gel, but if not the lip cream is the last thing and I head off the bed.

Skincare Routine | Day/Morning

I put off doing this post for quite a while because I've never had a set routine. I mixed things up quite a lot and never really stuck to something but this year I want to clean up my skin! I'm fed up with looking at my giant pores, having them get clogged constantly and having breakouts all over my chin. Since getting into a routine, and ditching the dreaded makeup wipes my skin is better.

I have a tricky skin type in my opinion. It's very dry, and if I don't have a quite intense moisturizer then I get flaky patches. I also have breakouts around my chine area and on my nose. My pores are huge and get clogs easily too. That's quite a tall order for a skincare product to try and help. Most products for dry skin will not stop/help spots and pores, while products that help clear spots and minimize pores dry out the skin.

So, I've tried out a few too many products, and have settled into this routine at the moment. The products are working for me, so I thought I would share them with you! I'm going to start with the morning routine that I have going. I tend to use differing products at night because I can use something slightly more intense but for the day time the products aren't too abrasive or intense. It makes it easier for makeup to sit nicely, and it doesn't agitate my skin and make it gross and all red.

You can see my night time routine, and some random additions in the next few days. I was going to put them all in one post, but this is already to long! Check back soon if you want to know a night routine

Morning Skincare Routine: Lush, Botanics, Clinqiue, Bliztex, Garnier, No7 and Good Things
Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse, LUSH Tea Tree Water link, No7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defense Serum link, Good Things Stop That Spot link, Garnier Moisture Match for Dull Skin link, Clinique All About Eyes link & Blistex Relief Cream.
So, the first thing that I do is wash my face. I try to use pore minimizing wash and at the moment I'm working my way through the Botanics Pore Perfecting Mousse face wash. It's not my favourite, but I need to use it up and it smells amazing! I would recommend the Clean and Clear Pore & Shine wash over this, but I want to use this up.

Next up I spritz some of the Tea Tree Water all over my face, and then take a cotton pad a wipe of the excess. It just helps minimize the pore a little more, and it helps treat any spots as well. It doesn't smell the best, but the scent doesn't stick around for long.

Next I add my serum which is an optional step for me. If I feel I need an extra boost I'll apply a thin layer of the no7 Blemish Defense Serum. I'm not sure if this does anything, but it does fell nice of my skin.

After I let this sink in, I add my moisturizer and eye cream. I'm in love with my moisturizer, which is currently the Garnier Moisture Match for Dull Skin. It's a gel formula that is meant to wake the skin up as well as moisture it. In my opinion. it's a dupe for the Clinique Moisture Surge. It's got a similar formula and it leaves the skin feeling pretty similar after. I will think twice before getting the Clinique version now I know about this.

My eye cream is not something I fussy about. I don't need any of that anti aging stuff because I'm only 19, and I just want something that is going to decrease my puffiness. The Clinique All About Eyes is meant to do that but I can't tell a huge difference. It adds some nice moisture to the eye area which is a bonus but I don't see a decrease in the puffiness.

After letting the moisturizers settle into my skin for a while, I'll add the Good Things Stop That Spot treatment to any problem areas if I need too. I can't say I've noticed an huge difference with this, but we can live in hope that something will help my spots. It doesn't leave anything dry of flaky so it works great for a day time treatment.

The last thing in this routine is the lip cream. I have the worse dry lips, and I actually have severe redness below and above my lips lines. I have tried everything to try and sort it out and nothing has but I find that using this relief cream keeps is moisturized enough through out the day so that it doesn't get gross, dry and flaky. I think this is meant to be for cold sores but it keeps lips really nice, and the cooling feeling you get when you put it on makes me think it's doing something

So, that's my day/morning routine and be sure to check back in the next few days for the night and random parts of this

Disappointing Products #1

Disappointing Products #1: Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 125, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10, Kerastase Soleil, Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser, Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque, Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel, MUA Cream Blush in Blossom & Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette.
I have been wanting to one of these posts for a while. I'm not one to shy away from giving something an honest (and if it's bad) and bad review. I think it's important to share a certain balance of good and bad things when you have even the littlest influence on someone spending their money on something. I love reading/watching things like this because I know what to avoid, alongside things that I think I'm going to love.

With that said, bare in mind that these products don't work for me personally and may well work for you. I have dry, dyed and curly hair along side normal/dry skin with occasional breakouts and huge pores. If you have another hair/skin type these products might work for you.

Disappointing Hair Products
Kerastase Soleil Brume Nuit & Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque
Kerastase Soleil Brume Nuit Link
I picked this up from a little salon shop ages ago for something stupid like £2. I thought I would give it a go because I've heard amazing things about the brand. It wasn't even worth the £2 to be honest because it does nothing for my hair. It doesn't make it worse, so that's a good thing but it doesn't make it any better.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque Link
This isn't nessesarily bad, but it's very strange. It's not so much the outcome of this that is disappointing or something I don't like. It's a reasonable hair mask, not the best from Tresemme, but it gives some nourishment. It's the texture that freaks me out a little bit! Its got the texture and consistancy of PVA glue. Weird, right?

Dissappointing Skincare
Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse, Clinique Take The Day Off Make Up Remover, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser & Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel
Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse (Discon)
I picked this up in hopes that I can sort out the crater in my face that most people call pores! They are getting out of control and I need something to help them. I am trying something at the moment that seems to be helping them out but this did nothing for my skin. Sure it's a nice enough face wash, but it does nothing for my pores. Not really what I wanted, so it's a bit of a disappointment.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover Link
For the price, this was rubbish. I managed to pick up a makeup remover from Garnier that was about £2, that was 100 times better than this. This is was a whopping £16 and it works well enough but not good enough for that price. I used it because I didn't want it to go to waste but there are better things out there.

Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser Link
I don't get this. I hear people rave about it all the time so I picked it up but I just don't like it or really get it. It doesn't feel like it really cleanses my face and mixing it up intoa paste is messy and just not nice. If anyone wants this, let me know because it's yours if you pay the postage

Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel Link
I don't like this which is a shame because I love the Aqua Hydrating range from Superdrug. This just doesn't do anything and it's really tacky when you put it on. It doesn't hydrate my eyes and I can only really use this at night because of the texture it leaves on my skin. It's cooling I suppose which can be quite nice on the eyes, but it just didn't live up to expectations.

Dissappointing MakeUp
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 125, Maybelline Fit Me Conceler in 10, MUA Cream Blush in Blossom & Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette.
MUA Cream Blush in Blossom Link
I brought this with high hopes. MUA is a brand that almost never fails to impress me, but unfortuantly, this blush did. It had almost no colour pay off, and I couldn't find a good way to apply it. I usually apply cream blushes with a stippling brush, but they didn't work. I hate applying things with my fingers but I gave that a go and while I did see some colour on the cheeks it was really patchy. To top it off, I've had this about a month and it's totally dried up already. Not a fan, sorry MUA.

Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette (LE)
As you can expect, I thought these eyeshadows would be good quality. The palette is about £40 and while is had gorgeous Dior packaging the shadows are not up to par in my opinion. They don't have a good colour pay off and they just aren't as good as some cheaper brands. I didn't buy this from Dior, but off a blog sale but I still regret the money I spent on it and would have been really disappointed if I had paid full price for it.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 125 Link
Amazing foundation! Crap colour range. This was the lightest shade they had in my local superdrug, and it's soooo orange it's unreal. I love the finish and how easy it is to apply but I cannot deal with the colour. I saw there was an ivory shade but I saw a swatch and that was super orange too.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10 Link
This is a shade thing as well. This concealer is amazing, if the colour matches you. This is the lightest shade that they do, and it doesn't match me. I thought it would because Maybelline light shades usually do but this is too dark and I can't get a away with it. I wish I could because it covers like a dream

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, £11.00. link
I have major issues putting mascara on my bottom lashes without messing it up so I decided I’d try this bottom lash mascara. I’d seen it advertised for quite some time and liked the idea so picked it up.

The tube is about half the size of a normal mascara and the brush is about a quarter of the size of a regular want. It’s the perfect size for those bottom lashes or sneaky individual lashes you can’t get with your regular mascara.

I have one little issue with this mascara and it really is a small issue. When you pull the wand out there is a little to much mascara on it. It just takes a little swipe of the top of the tube to get it okay to use on the lashes! The only reason that bugs me is because it makes the tube dirty.

This isn’t a waterproof formula but it doesn’t budge on me, and I don’t have any transfer through out the day. It’s £11, and I don’t think that’s unreasonable considering the price of drugstore and high-end mascaras.

Next time I think I might give the ELF Studio Exact Lash Mascara (link) a go though because it’s only £3.75. Even though I don’t think £11 is unreasonable £3.75 does sound a lot better on the small bank balance of a skint student.

Top 10 Foundations For Dry Skin: YSL, Rimmel, The Body Shop & More

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation link, MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation link, The Body Shop Mositure Foundation link, Revlon ColorStay Foundation link, MAC Select SPF15 Foundation discontinued, YSL Touche Eclat Foundation link, Clinique Even Better Makeup link, Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse link and Rimmel Match Perfect Gel-Cream Foundation link.
I love foundation as much as the next person, and for the longest time I always went for something that gave a really full coverage. I have breakouts quite often for a  number of reasons and I always liked to have a fuller coverage. Since using the YSL Touche Eclat I've realized that you can still have great looking skin without the heavy coverage. I just wanted to share some of my favorites out of the ones I've tried. I'll link reviews if I have them, or write a little paragraph to sum them all up.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, Clinique Even Better Makeup, MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation & Sleek BB Cream
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation:
Coverage: Medium
Skin Type: Dry
Price:  £7.99

I was in love with foundation, and the only thing I don't like is the colour range. From looking at the website it seems that they sell light colours but in any shop I've been in they don't do a shade similar to Ivory. I wouldn't recommend this to people with oily skin unless you are prepared to go powder mad because it's very dewy on the skin. It's great for my dry skin, and I even felt the need to powder a bit to tone down the dewy effect.

Clinique Even Better Makeup
Coverage: Light, but buildable.
Skin Type: Combination to Dry Skin
Price:  £23

This is my newest foundation, and I love it. I went to Clinique asking for something lightweight with a good coverage that would work for my dry skin. She recommended this one, so I picked it up. The price didn't seem to bad for a higher end foundation, and the feel from the tester and where she matched me felt nice. It gives a really dewy finish, so I powder it because I like a semi-matte finish. It is recommended for  combination skin as well as dry but I wouldn't say it would work on oily skin.

MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation
Coverage: Medium to Full
Skin Type: Normal to Dry Skin
Price:  £12.50

If I didn't have this in the wrong shade, it would be my everyday foundation but sadly it's a shade to dark and a little two ashy for me. The formula is amazing though. It gives an amazing coverage, and it blends so easily. It takes out redness in my skin, and covers everything I want it to. It doesn't feels heavy or cakey, and it works well on my oily patches as well as my extremely dry patches. It does have a very dewy finish that I calm down with a light dusting of powder but if you like the dew, this can give you it.

Sleek BB Cream
Coverage: Light, but buildable.
Skin Type: Combination to Dry Skin
Price:  £8.99

I use this as a primer myself just on my t-zone and on my chin, but as a BB cream it's great for combination skin. I wouldn't say it's great for the extremes of oiliness or dryness but it does give a nice light coverage without feeling to heavy and the shade range is great too. I think it's great, as I said, as a primer down my t-zone and on my chin to give a little extra coverage and to make my makeup stay in place a little longer.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, The Body Shop Moisture Foundation, Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin & MAC Select SPF15 Foundation
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
Coverage: Full
Skin Type: Combination to Oily Skin
Price:  £7.69

I know this hit or miss for people. I like it because it's the only foundation I've tried that gives a truly matte finish. It does transfer and it sticks to dry skin so bare that in mind, but it does give amazing coverage. It's very unique and it does last a long time if you don't rub the foundation on your skin to much.

The Body Shop Moisture Foundation
Coverage: Medium
Skin Type: Dry to Very Dry Skin
Price:  £13

This is an amazing foundation for dry skin. I have super dry skin and this just works for it. It it very dewy, so I powder it because it's like shine galore but with a light dusting of powder it looks gorgeous. It lasts all day, and it has a fairly decent coverage.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation
Coverage: Full.
Skin Type: They offer a formula for Dry/Combination and Oily Skin, so take your pick.
Price:  £12.49

I'm sure I don't need to say anything about this foundation. It's a great semi-matte foundation (at least the dry skin formula is). It's full coverage that lasts all day and while it can be a little heavy if you apply it with your fingers it gives a finish on the skin.

MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation
Coverage: Medium to Full
Skin Type: Combination to Dry Skin
Price:  Discon

I had no idea this was discontinued, but it's not on the website anymore so I can only assume you can't get it anymore. But it is a favorite of mine so I thought I would include it. It's a great medium coverage foundation that you can build up to be very full. It lasts a really long time and you don't need to powder it to get it to last.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation & Rimmel Match Perfect Gel Cream Foundation

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation
Coverage: Light
Skin Type: Dry
Price:  £28

This is my perfect foundation. I have about one use left in my bottle and I'm saving it for a special occasion because I just can't bare to say goodbye to this. I don't have the cash to replace this at the moment but I will when I do. It gives the skin an amazing quality to it. It doesn't have a full coverage or anything like that but it just does something to my skin that makes me like it, and I never like my skin.

Rimmel Match Perfection Gel Cream Foundation
Coverage: Medium, but buildable.
Skin Type: Normal to Dry
Price:  £6.99

I love this foundation to bits, and it's my favorite from all the Rimmel foundations. I do like the normal match perfection one, but I love this formula even more. The gel-cream formula makes it great for my dry skin. It glides on, and really does match up to skin colour and texture. It does go on darker than it looks when it settles in so don't freak out like I did. It lasts well on the skin, and the pot lasts a long time too.
