No 7 Melting Gel Cleanser

No 7 Melting Gel Cleanser

The No7 Melting Gel Cleanser claims to be an all in one skincare product for people with normal to dry skin! It comes out as a clear gel, and transforms into milky toner type product that is easy to wash away and leaves skin feeling soft when worked into the skin with water.

No 7 Melting Gel Cleanser

It comes encased in a standard cleanser package, with a white squeezy bottle, black lettering and a dusty pink lid. The packaging is simple yet classy and the design allows you to get every last drop of the cleanser out of the tube.

No7 Melting Gel Cleanser

You get a nice amount of product for you dollar, and you don't need that much to cleanser your entire face. I found that a dollop the size of 3 or 4 peas is enough to do you whole face. A little more might be needed for extra stubborn makeup, but for everyday makeup that is just enough!

No7 Melting Gel Cleanser

No7 Melting Gel Cleanser as Milky Toner

I found the cleanser to work really well for my dry skin. It doesn't really moisturize, but it does help keep skin soft and it doesn't even begin to leave it feeling dry. It dissolves my makeup quickly, washes off easily and leaves me feeling fresh faced.

Overall I would recommend this No7 Melting Gel Cleanser if you are looking for a simple cleanser that really gets off your makeup and leaves skin feeling soft and supple. It's a little more expensive than some, but cheaper than others. You can always find No7 on some kind of offer so the price is generally okay.

If you can't find this on offer or it's sold out, B. from Superdrug offer a Melting Gel Cleanser that is almost exactly the same as this but retails for a cheaper price of £6.99.

Herbalife Radiant C Daily Facial Scrub Cleanser

Herbalife Radiant C Exfoliating Daily Facial Cleanser

I have a dry and generally dull complexion. I find that my skin has very little radiance or glow to it so when I have the opportunity to try something that is meant to help me with that problem I jump at it!

The Radiant C collection from Herbalife is a range of products aimed at giving you a healthier and more radiant complexion.   When given the opportunity to try the Daily Facial Scrub Cleanser, I was really excited.  Exfoliating cleansers are a favourite of mine because they help with any dry, flaky skin I may have while still dissolving off my makeup.

The exfoliants within the cleanser aren't to 'scrubby' so you could easily use this every day if you wanted to. I tend to use this every other day because I'm used to avoiding using exfoliating cleansers everyday. On my off day, I tend to use the No 7 Melting Gel Cleanser to try and add some moisture to my skin. The combo, followed by the Sanctuary Pore Refining Toner, are working really well because they help combat most of my skin issues.

Herbalife Radiant C Daily Facial Cleanser

The scent is mouth watering, and that is no exaggeration. I can only compare it to The Body Shop Satsuma scent that has been, and will always be one of my favourite fragrances. I find myself reaching for this over other cleansers I may have because of the scent. In the morning, it's nice a refreshing and at night it leaves me feeling fresh faced after long days.

You can pick up the Herbalife Radiant C Daily Exfoliating Facial Cleanser and the other bits in the range from Herbalife distributors which you can locate using their website here. It does come at the rather expensive price of £17.65, but the large bottle will last you a nice amount of time, even if you use it everyday.

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser is marketed as a soothing, self heating cleanser that cleanses away pore clogging dirt and oil leaving skin free of stubborn dirt, oil and make up. It contains salicylic acid and warming clay to help it target black heads and reduce flakiness of the skin.
I don't have oily skin, but I do have problems with clogged pores and blackheads. It's been hard for me find something that works for my dry skin, but also helps unclog the crators in my face that are my pores and to help me clear up the unsightly blackheads that are peppered over my nose.

This cleanser does that! It doesn't dry out my skin at all but it really helps with the blackheads. I can't spcifically say what it is about this product that works for me but I think it's the warming effect.

One other product that helps me out like nothing else is the Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed face mask (review here). It's a warming face mask, and that too helps me with my clogged pores.

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser

There is a slight grain to the blue liquid, but it's nothing to aggressive. It can be used everyday, but I tend to use it every other day so I can use something super moisturizing to help get my skin from dry to normal.

Overall, I'm a fan of this. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and really cleans. It works really well to clean out pores and help reduces black heads. It doesn't leave my skin any oilier that before but it also doesn't dry out my skin at all.

You can pick this up in drugstores like Boots and Superdurg or in supermarkets like Asda and Waitrose or online here for just £4.99.

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

I picked this up when the B. skincare range was on offer in Superdrug. If you picked up a day cream you got this for free, so I snapped them up while I had the change. I'm a lover of the brand, and don't think I've tried one thing that has really disappointed me. The makeup is great and from what I've tried of the skincare, that's great too.

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

The B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser claims to gently polish the skin to help reveal a smoother and brighter complexion. It's a creamy exfoliator that help with dull skin, remove impurities and unblock pores. The micro-beads buff away old skin cells and refine the skin surface. All you need to do is massage it into damp skin and rinse with warm water. It's £5.49 a tube from Superdrug stores or online

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

The texture of this cleanser is something I both love and hate. As a cleanser that could be used everyday, this is great. It's not too coarse so it's not going to scratch your face off, but you can feel the grain in the cream so you know that it's exfoliating.

I hate it because it's just not coarse enough for me. I love an exfoliator that you can really feel working, and this just doesn't do it for me. It cleans my skin, but it's just not rough enough for me.

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

It says this is for normal to oily skin, but I have dry skin and it works for me. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, in fact it's actually nice on my dry skin. It also says that you should use this about twice a week, but I don't think that's necessary either. It's not that abrasive and it works for me everyday.

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

The great thing about this is that it's cruelty free, like everything else from the brand. It's also made in the UK and it makes me a little happy that you can find quality products that are made in the UK and not imported from other countries.

B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser

The packaging is pretty standard and nothing that special. It's a nice white tube, with grey detailing. It's not the cheapest looking thing, but it's not that luxurious looking either. It doesn't bother me that much because I use this in the shower, and no one sees it but me.

P.S: Have you entered my Nars giveaway? It ends April 29th, so head on over to it here for your chance to win!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil *MAC Cleanse Off Oil Dupe*

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil *MAC Cleanse Off Oil Dupe*
15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil
The L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil claims to be a 15 second cleansing oil that dissolves even waterproof makeup while leaving the skin clean and non-greasy.  The formula helps re-balance the skins natural oils while helping skin to look healthy

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil *MAC Cleanse Off Oil Dupe*
L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil

The cleanser lives up to it's claims. I use about 2 pumps of this, in my hand and rub it all over my face. It instantly starts to remove my makeup, and  cleanse my face. I work it into my skin until I feel it's clean and then I just rinse of any excess with some water.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil *MAC Cleanse Off Oil Dupe*

For eye makeup I just use a pump or two of this on a cotton pad and place it over my eyes. If I have any waterproof makeup on, I'll let the pad sit their for about 15 second, but other than they I just wipe it all right off.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil *MAC Cleanse Off Oil Dupe*

I don't get left with any greasy feelings of anything like that, and my face does feel truly clean after using this.

This is the only cleanser that I've found to be entirely oil, rather than a mix of oil and water than needs to be shaken up. I like those types of cleansers, but this one is just so much better at getting things off.

L'Oreal Cleansing Oil Back

MAC Cleanse Off Oil has always been a favourite of mine since I started using it. It's the only makeup remover/cleanser that I have that I can honestly say makes me feel like every single speck of makeup is off my face. Well, that is until now! This L'Oreal Cleansing Oil works in the exact same way as the MAC oil, and it's half the price.

The MAC Cleanse Off Oil is £18 for 150ml, where as the L'Oreal alternative is just £7.99 for the same amount.

There is one difference with these products and that is the scent. The MAC Cleanse Off Oil doesn't have a scent, while the L'Oreal one does have a slight scent. It doesn't bother me at all though, and it doesn't effect the product in anyway.

Overall, I would say pick this one up over the MAC one any day, especially if you have been thinking about getting the MAC version.

You can pick this L'Oreal Skin Perfection Miracle Cleansing Oil up in places like Superdrug or online here for £7.99. You can also find the MAC Cleanse Off Oil one online here for £18 if you want to give that one a go.

B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes | Superdrug Exclusive

B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
B. Quick 4 in 1 Cleansinng Wipes, £3.50 at Superdurg exclusively (link)
I have a confession to make. I commit beauty sins on a daily basis. I sometimes sleep in my makeup, and sometimes I use makeup wipes. Sometimes I read things that make me feel like using a makeup wipe, or leaving some makeup on my face is like kicking a dog or something. I mean, I know it's not the best thing for your skin and I wouldn't suggest using them everyday but they are not that bad. So, please stop making me feel guilty.
Anyway, I'm always on the look out for a good makeup wipe that get most of the makeup off. I don't want them to smudge makeup all over my face, I want them to take it off my face. The B.Quick wipes from the new B. range are amazing in terms of makeup wipes.
These wipes are 4 in 1 that claim to cleanse the make up off the face, tone skin with cucumber extract, hydrate skin with vitamin e and aloe vera extracts and condition/calm the skin with botanical extracts.  Now, I'm not to sure about all this jazz because I'm not sure what all these specific things do, but I know that they leave my skin feeling fresh and they don't make it red or irritated.
B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
B. Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
They say that they remove even waterproof and keep skin from being irritated. They do, and they do it well. These are some of the few wipes that really do take off waterproof makeup without the evil scrubbing that can come with some wipes.
This is a weird thing to comment on but they are really moist (sorry for that word, I know it's usually hated). They stay nice and wet (I hate that word even more). I think it partly because it has a nice amount of solution within the wipe, and the opening isn't those usually horrid stickers that never stick, it's actually as plastic lid that securely shuts!B. B.Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes
You get 25 wipes which is pretty average, and these (aswell as the rest of the brand) carry the BUAV approved logo meaning they are totally cruelty free. They don't really have a scent expect that skincare scent that most things carry. They smell pretty much identical to the Simple wipes if that gives you any reference.

You can get these Makeup Cleansing Wipes in stores now, or online here at superdrug.com

Skincare Routine | Night

So, if you haven't already seen my day/morning skincare routine you can see it here. It's a bit of a long post but it tells about all the pesky skin problems that I'm trying to combat with my routine. I have a slightly different routine at night than I do during the day so I thought I would share that with you today!

Night Time Skincare Routine
Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser link, Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub link, Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner link, Good Things Stop That Spot Treatment Gel link, Purity Overnight Regenerating Moisturizer* link, Lancome Bi-Facil link, Clinique All About Eyes link & Blistex Relief Cream

A few of these products are interchangeable with other products, but the idea is all the same.

The first thing that I do is take of my eye makeup, and any other stubborn makeup I may have on my face like lip stains of anything like that. I find that an oil based makeup remover works better for this and at the moment I'm using up a small Lancome Bi-Facil that I got free when I brought a mascara. It's a really good makeup remover and you only need a small amount, once you've shaken it up, to remove both eyes. I just put a little on a cotton pad, rest it over my eyes for a few seconds and the wipe away.

After I have got that off, I will was my face with one of my scurbs. I find using these at night works best for me so I alternate between two scrubs. The Biore Warming Cleanseris a brilliant scrub but I find it to abrasive to use every day so I use this twice a week, and all the the other times I will use the Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub.

The Biore Warming Cleanser is meant to warm on contact with the skin, which is does, and help clear away those pesky blackheads and clean out your pores. I think it's a brilliant scrub and really helps keep my problem blackheads at bay.

The Clean and Clear Refreshing Facial Scrub is a great every day scrub. It is just abrasive enough that I feel it's doing something but not to abrasive that I can't use it everyday. It gives my skin a good clean and gets all that gross dirt and grit out of it.

After washing off the scrub, I'll put some of the Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner on a cotton pad, and run it all over my face. This gets off any dirt that might be left and also tones my skin. I don't really love this cleanser/toner, but it's working for the moment and I will use it up. It's great for an affordable option, but the peppermint smell isn't something I'm a fan of putting of my face and it tends to make my eyes start watering if I get anywhere even close to them.

After my face is totally clean, I will put on my night time moisturizer which is the Purity Overnight Regenerating Moisturizer. This this is amazing. It's super thick so it's quite intense, but it doesn't make any oily patches worse, and it helps out those gross dry areas. It's all natural which is great, and the stuff seems to be lasting for forever. You don't need too much considering it's so thick and it's cheap too which is a huge bonus.

Next, I put on my eye cream which is exactly the same as my day/morning one. I layer it on a little thicker now just to give more moisture but as I said before I'm not sure it's a miracle worker and I just use it because I have it.

After than I put on a nice thick later of the Blistex Relief Cream. This really gives my lips a boost, and helps them for being all dry and gross. If I have a lip scrub at the time I will give them a scrub before putting this on to get away that dead skin.

If I have any spots, I'll put on a bad of the Good Things Stop That Spot gel, but if not the lip cream is the last thing and I head off the bed.

Disappointing Products #1

Disappointing Products #1: Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 125, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10, Kerastase Soleil, Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser, Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque, Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel, MUA Cream Blush in Blossom & Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette.
I have been wanting to one of these posts for a while. I'm not one to shy away from giving something an honest (and if it's bad) and bad review. I think it's important to share a certain balance of good and bad things when you have even the littlest influence on someone spending their money on something. I love reading/watching things like this because I know what to avoid, alongside things that I think I'm going to love.

With that said, bare in mind that these products don't work for me personally and may well work for you. I have dry, dyed and curly hair along side normal/dry skin with occasional breakouts and huge pores. If you have another hair/skin type these products might work for you.

Disappointing Hair Products
Kerastase Soleil Brume Nuit & Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque
Kerastase Soleil Brume Nuit Link
I picked this up from a little salon shop ages ago for something stupid like £2. I thought I would give it a go because I've heard amazing things about the brand. It wasn't even worth the £2 to be honest because it does nothing for my hair. It doesn't make it worse, so that's a good thing but it doesn't make it any better.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Hair Masque Link
This isn't nessesarily bad, but it's very strange. It's not so much the outcome of this that is disappointing or something I don't like. It's a reasonable hair mask, not the best from Tresemme, but it gives some nourishment. It's the texture that freaks me out a little bit! Its got the texture and consistancy of PVA glue. Weird, right?

Dissappointing Skincare
Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse, Clinique Take The Day Off Make Up Remover, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser & Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel
Botanics Pore Perfecting Deep Clean Mousse (Discon)
I picked this up in hopes that I can sort out the crater in my face that most people call pores! They are getting out of control and I need something to help them. I am trying something at the moment that seems to be helping them out but this did nothing for my skin. Sure it's a nice enough face wash, but it does nothing for my pores. Not really what I wanted, so it's a bit of a disappointment.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover Link
For the price, this was rubbish. I managed to pick up a makeup remover from Garnier that was about £2, that was 100 times better than this. This is was a whopping £16 and it works well enough but not good enough for that price. I used it because I didn't want it to go to waste but there are better things out there.

Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser Link
I don't get this. I hear people rave about it all the time so I picked it up but I just don't like it or really get it. It doesn't feel like it really cleanses my face and mixing it up intoa paste is messy and just not nice. If anyone wants this, let me know because it's yours if you pay the postage

Simply Pure Aqua Hydrating Eye Gel Link
I don't like this which is a shame because I love the Aqua Hydrating range from Superdrug. This just doesn't do anything and it's really tacky when you put it on. It doesn't hydrate my eyes and I can only really use this at night because of the texture it leaves on my skin. It's cooling I suppose which can be quite nice on the eyes, but it just didn't live up to expectations.

Dissappointing MakeUp
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 125, Maybelline Fit Me Conceler in 10, MUA Cream Blush in Blossom & Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette.
MUA Cream Blush in Blossom Link
I brought this with high hopes. MUA is a brand that almost never fails to impress me, but unfortuantly, this blush did. It had almost no colour pay off, and I couldn't find a good way to apply it. I usually apply cream blushes with a stippling brush, but they didn't work. I hate applying things with my fingers but I gave that a go and while I did see some colour on the cheeks it was really patchy. To top it off, I've had this about a month and it's totally dried up already. Not a fan, sorry MUA.

Dior Eyeshadow Palette in Corquette (LE)
As you can expect, I thought these eyeshadows would be good quality. The palette is about £40 and while is had gorgeous Dior packaging the shadows are not up to par in my opinion. They don't have a good colour pay off and they just aren't as good as some cheaper brands. I didn't buy this from Dior, but off a blog sale but I still regret the money I spent on it and would have been really disappointed if I had paid full price for it.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 125 Link
Amazing foundation! Crap colour range. This was the lightest shade they had in my local superdrug, and it's soooo orange it's unreal. I love the finish and how easy it is to apply but I cannot deal with the colour. I saw there was an ivory shade but I saw a swatch and that was super orange too.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10 Link
This is a shade thing as well. This concealer is amazing, if the colour matches you. This is the lightest shade that they do, and it doesn't match me. I thought it would because Maybelline light shades usually do but this is too dark and I can't get a away with it. I wish I could because it covers like a dream

Quo Exfoliating Cleanser Pads

Hey guys,

Oh my, I love these things! I say that about a lot of things about and I mean it but I really mean it for these. They are a pound land bargain find of mine, and I’m stocking up in fear that they will disappear out of my life.

These pretty much look like any other cleansing pads you can buy on one side but the other side has a really fine grain, or really small exfoliating particles, on the other side that makes them what they are.
The smooth side can be used to take of makeup, and to remove dirt and oil from the face and it leaves it feeling nice and cleansed. I really like the cleansing solution these are soaked in, and I think it might have something to do with the Jojoba that’s infused in it. All in all, these cleansing solution works to cleanse the skin.

The grains is gentle enough that you can use these every day but they are exfoliating enough that they make you feel like you have exfoliating your skin and giving it a good clean. It removes the flaking bits of skin that are a constant side effect of having super dry skin, but they also remove impurities from the skin like those pesky little  blackheads that like to rear their ugly little heads every now and then.

I used these morning and night and won’t be without them for a while. They do what they say they do, and they are only a POUND! I would recommend these to just about anyone, and have three pots stored away for when I’m running out!

Do you have any pound land loves? I often find great things in there :)

Thanks for reading guys,
Sarah xo
