The Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder is supposedly a powder infused with light reflecting mica pigments that give the skin a fresh dewy glow. It also contains SPF15 for added protection from the sun.
I adore the packaging. I think Sleek, as a brand, create high quality products that come in beautiful 'sleek' packaging. The black square compact feels secure is a nice matte colour with subtle branding and clear gold lettering for the product name.
The shade range is brilliant. While they only offer 4 shades, at least in the store I was in, they range from a very pale shade to a very deep shade. The lightest shade, LPP01, works with my foundation that are in the NC/NW17 shade range which is Ivory in most drugstore foundation.
I've worn this a few times now and I have a love hate feeling for it. The powder is of a nice quality and holds my makeup in place all day without making me look totally matte and dull but the glitter in this powder is insane. I look like a Twilight vampire, and that is not a look I want to go for. The 'light reflecting pigments' are nothing more than gold glitter particles. Some or more subtle than others, but the others look really chunky.
The effect of this powder is nice from a distance but when you see it up close or catch the light in the wrong way the effect is something less desirable. I might have to give the Suede effect powder a go to see if it feels as nice as this but for now I think I'll have to give up hope that this can work for me.
